Principal's Letter Sept
september 2020 update
Hi friends,
What a year we are continuing to have with Lockdowns now a part of our vocabulary. As I write this, we are in our second week back at school after another brief Level 3 lockdown. It had looked like things were settling down and we were just about ready to go out on the road with our Level 5s but of course, this got cancelled. We have managed to fit in some performing though and the 2nd years travelled down to Levin and Whanganui to perform in an Unashamed concert - albeit with a restricted audience.
Back at school the first years have been preparing a Showcase as part of their PARTS-407 assessment. They have been going hard out with the planning - even printing out their own lanyards for the production team. Hadleigh has certainly inspired them to step up and produce a great afternoon of entertainment. This team has set a high standard for the next two.
We’re also looking forward to being able to put on a special Level 5 Performance evening at the Mangere Arts Centre early November as well as building up momentum for our favourite event of the year - the Graduation Concert at the Bruce Mason Theatre in Takapuna on the 19th November.
Auditions have already started and we’re looking forward to a full intake for 2021. Applications can be made online or by ringing 09 827 7327 or text 027 512 1573. Our new Level 4 Certificates and Level 5 Diplomas are getting tweaked and fine-tuned as we speak and we have some exciting developments to bring in for 2021. Book an audition online now or let someone know about EXCEL - it will change their lives!
Kind regards,
Exec. Director & Principal
