THE STORY
For over 25 years EXCEL School of Performing Arts has been offering unique tertiary education pathways, allowing students the ability to develop their performance skills in an environment designed to create purpose and identity.
EXCEL students come from all walks of life; from urban South Auckland to rural South Island. Our audition process allows us to discover talented individuals and offer tailored training and study to suit their abilities.
Study options include a Level 4 (certificate) course and a Level 5 (diploma) course. EXCEL students will receive time, space and training to finely develop their performing arts skill in three key areas; dance, drama or music.
In addition to the above, our staff are passionate about seeing each of our students succeed in the creative industry and by nature, become invested in their lives.
THE CAUSE
As a Christian based school, our heart is to develop, guide and create purpose in our talented young people.
We believe EXCEL School of Performing Arts is a ministry, an outreach, a melting pot of creative students.
Your support helps our school to offer high quality tertiary education in the performing arts to students who come from all walks of life, all the while surrounding these young people with love, support and Christ centred guidance.

THE INVESTMENT
The EXCEL School of Performing Arts training facility located in New Lynn, Auckland provides dedicated spaces for dance majors to practice, a 150 seat auditorium for drama majors to perform, and multiple sound-proof recording studios for music and vocal majors to rehearse. Performance lighting and sound equipment allow our students the best opportunity to learn industry standards.
Our staff and tutors are professionals and successful in their own right, available and ready to invest into the life of our students. A series of vehicles, including vans and an equipment truck, allow our second year students (diploma) the opportunity to head out on the road and tour, performing in schools, churches and youth concerts nation wide.
EXCEL has multiple avenues of outreach whether through devotionals every Thursday morning, school performances, an end of year graduation concert, the EXCEL tour team or our practical industry experiences.
We thrive on seeing young performing artists find confidence and in who they are and purpose through discovering who Christ says they are.
